Divide & Conquer: How to Multiply Your Peonies in the Fall

Perennial division is definitely a back-of-the-mind garden task for most of us because perennials (plants that span multiple growing seasons) are usually easy-going and require little maintenance once established. However, lifting and dividing your perennials, specifically peonies, is key to big blooms and long-lived plants. Dividing your perennials should be tackled every 3-10 years depending on the plant with which you’re working.

Tune into this episode of Unearth Horticulture to learn more about how peonies can be successfully divided to multiply your plant count, and then potted up to either give away to friends or planted back into your flower beds this fall.

I am not going to beat around the bush. Perennial division is quite the job. Though daunting, plant division is one of the most rewarding forms of propagation!
