There are some sentences I catch myself saying repeatedly when talking to home growers. One such statement is as follows, “Figs are fickle plants.” While they are related, I’m not talking about the fruit that we eat for a high fiber diet. I’m talking about the figs that dot the interiors of our homes and offices. From fiddle-leaf figs to rubber trees to the more traditional dentist office little-leaf fig, ficus species have been a traditional indoor plant for decades.
